I was reading through an article on IPL hair removal and was actually considering it until I read that you have to shave before it. I really really hate shaving. So.. I did a bit more research into it and found that you shouldn’t wax or pluck before IPL but you should shave. I was wondering whether, instead of shaving, you could use hair removal cream before IPL?

You should ask your doctor if IPL hair removal is safe for if yes ask him/fer about what should my first steps should be.
Don’t use hair removal cream or shave, the aesthetician needs to see the hair to determine the areas that need to be treated.
i usually don’t shave before I go….but if it is long, like longer than it would be for waxing, i would trim a bit. if not my doctor does it for me…which is weird.
do not use a hair removal cream. the ipl needs to be able to see your hair to be effective. if you use a hair removal cream, the hair is already burned away.
